TD Emerging Artists Roundtable: Fall 2023
Theatre Gargantua’s Fall 2023 TD Emerging Artist Roundtable Series is a forum for emerging artists and graduating post-secondary students to engage directly with professional theatre makers. Moderated by Gargantua’s Artistic Director Jacquie P.A. Thomas, these sessions empower participants to develop creative relationships that help bridge the gap between formal training and professional work. This fall, a group of 10-12 emerging artists will be chosen to come together in a series of four sessions featuring compelling guest speakers. Participants will gain insights into the Canadian theatre industry and will learn how to carve out a place for their own work. The Roundtable is an opportunity for a diverse collection of artists to network with other emerging artists and leaders in the Toronto theatre community. Artists from all theatrical disciplines are welcome to apply.
Theatre Gargantua’s Fall 2023 TD Emerging Artist Roundtable will be offered in person in Toronto.
We strongly encourage and will prioritize applicants from equity-deserving communities, historically excluded or marginalized groups, and individuals whose identities exist at the intersections of these groups.
Participation is free. Space is limited.

To apply, please submit your resume and a single-page cover letter stating: your experience and area of interest in theatre, any training you’ve received (school, program of study, year of study or of graduation, or other), and what you hope to gain from the Roundtable experience. You may also choose to self-identify as a member of an equity-deserving group in your letter.
