Reflector: Inside the Process
We began a two-year creation journey for Reflector this spring. The project lends itself to explorations of new media in live-performance. During our 2-week development phase our design team generated new possibilities for the multi-disciplinary work Theatre Gargantua has pioneered in Toronto. Our creative team, in particular Thomas Ryder Payne (sound design), Laird Macdonald (lighting and projection design) and Melanie McNeill (costume design) provided key instruments to explore and play with including, iPads, looping pedals, and transformative costume ideas.
There will be limited performances of the work this November at Theatre Passe Muraille for general audiences and student matinees.
