TD Emerging Artists Roundtable: Winter 2026

Theatre Gargantua’s TD Emerging Artists Roundtable Series returns for an online session for the winter of 2026 to allow participation from across the country. The Roundtable is a forum for emerging artists and graduating post-secondary students to engage directly with professional theatre makers.  Moderated by Gargantua’s Artistic Director Jacquie P.A. Thomas and featuring compelling guest speakers, these sessions empower participants to develop creative relationships that help bridge the gap between formal training and professional work. Participants will gain insights into the Canadian theatre industry and will learn how to carve out a place for their own work. The Roundtable is an opportunity for a diverse collection of emerging artists to connect with each other — artists from all theatrical disciplines are welcome to apply.

We encourage you to apply and will create fair opportunities for all applicants—including those from historically excluded or marginalized groups, and individuals whose identities exist at the intersections of these groups.

Participation is free. Space is limited. Sessions will be held via Zoom.

            Wednesday, February 25 (3:00-4:30pm)

            Wednesday, March 25 (3:00-4:30pm)

            Wednesday, April 22 (3:00-4:30pm)

            Wednesday, May 13 (3:00-4:30pm)

To apply, please submit your resume and a single-page cover letter stating: your experience and area of interest in theatre, any formal training you’ve received (school, program of study, year of study or of graduation), and what you hope to gain from the Roundtable experience. You may also choose to self-identify as a member from a historically excluded or marginalized group in your letter. Please send applications as one combined PDF to: info@theatregargantua.ca.
